Baby John Michael has severe brain fluid pressure (Hydrocephalus). Hydrocephalus causes fluid pressure that expands the skull and harms the brain tissue. Although John has hydrocephalus his biggest struggle right now is he needs help being able to eat, John's family cannot afford the life-saving surgery that he needs for the gastric tube directly into his stomach. Without gastric tube surgery, he will continue to vomit his milk-fed by his nasogastric tube. This food ends up in his lungs causing deadly pneumonia and repeat hospitalization. He needs a specialized suction medical device to help keep his airways clear.
